Torrevieja is a seaside city located on the Costa Blanca about 30 miles south of Alicante. Originally a salt mining and fishing village as it is located between the sea and two large salt lakes. The town is surrounded by excellent urbanisations, all with pools and beautiful gardens and the whole area enjoys fabulous beaches with fine sand and crystal clear waters. The lovely marina hosts a number of excellent restaurants around it.
