A Place In The Sun Filming Was Fun

I had an embarrassing moment when asked to appear on A Place In The Sun latest filming which took part in the lovely port of Mazarron on the Costa Calida. I was asked to appear to give my professional opinion on the current property market and also tips for the would be buyers. I met up with Jonnie Irwin the popular presenter and I was informed by the camera man that I could not wear my checked shirt as it would cause problems with filming. With no other change of clothing I was given a shirt from Jonnies wardrobe and filming went ahead as planned.We had a laugh about it later as I handed back to Jonnie a sweaty shirt that I even offered to autograph for him. It was a great day and the episode will be shown in a few months time.

Looking to buy a villa on a tight budget then there is only one answer and that it is to go inland, you get more for your money with inland properties but unfortunately you may not have as many amenities to choose from.

If you want to live a spanish life then buy either in a Spanish town or buy a property on the outskirts, great way to experience the easy spanish way of living with cheap bars and restaurants.


Finally the most important tip is to be realisitic, do not expect to get a beachfront villa with large infinity pool for 100,000 euros . You only get what you pay for and like all countries this is reflected in the location.
