Buyers Attracted By Bargain Spanish Properties
Foreign buyers are expected to increase their activity in the Spanish property market throughout 2013. We predict a 50 per cent increase in turnover on 2012 levels, following a 35 per cent increase in sales and turnover last year. The claim has largely been the result of improved Google-friendly websites that will continue to rank strongly as the market recovers.
However, reports suggest that activity is picking up across the board.
So why then have the gains enjoyed by Murcia Estate Agents not been replicated on a national level?
It seems the deciding factor is location. Murcia is still a very desirable area of choice for international buyers due to the excellent climate, property prices and the accessability. With the new International airport due to open in Murcia this year we can expect interest in purchasing property to increase even more.
This means that in certain key areas, the fortunes of the property market fare differently to other regions.
Nonetheless, investor interest in prime spots has done little to bolster property prices and buyers can still snap up prime real estate cheaply.

The Spanish Bad Bank Takes On Over 37 Billion Euros Of Bad Property.
Spain's so-called "bad bank" has received €37 billion of toxic assets from four nationalised banks, starting a key part of the country's drive to clean up its financial sector.
The real estate loans and properties are the first assets to be transferred to the "bad bank," which has been set up by the government in a bid to tackle the fallout from a burst property market bubble and restore confidence in the country's banks.
The largest share of the toxic assets transferred to the asset management company, known by its Spanish acronym SAREB, comes from Bankia, which was rescued by the state in May in Spain's biggest ever bank bailout.
Bankia has transferred €22.32 billion in assets, while Catalunya Banc has transferred €6.71 billion, NCG Banco-Banco Gallego has transferred €5.71 billion and Banco de Valencia has transferred €1.96 billion, SAREB said on Monday.
SAREB said it could now start managing the assets with a view to "carrying out the sale (of them)... seeking the maximum return for its shareholders."
In return for the assets, SAREB has issued the banks senior bonds backed by the state.
The government struggled but secured private investment to get the "bad bank" going, with most of the capital coming from the country's top lenders, except for BBVA. If the Bad Bank is being run the same way as the majority of Spanish Banks then do not expect a success.
It was quite funny as the domain names SAREB were already purchased by speculators and it left the bank with a bit of a problem when this was discovered. However RED.es who control Spanish domain names have taken a court order for the Sareb domain names to be returned.
