Costa Blanca

The Costa Blanca covers over 200km of beautiful coastline from Pilar de la Horadada right up to Denia in the north.  The major tourist destinations are Benidorm and Alicante with the El Altet airport in Alicante bringing in thousands of visitors each year.  The airport was recently extended to accommodate for the increase in visitors and now sees all the budget airlines flying in on a regular basis all the year round.  This is great for people buying in the area as it is now possible to fly here at a very affordable cost.

The city of Alicante itself is a very beautiful city with a large marina with very nice restaurants and hotels based around it.  The seafood restaurants are particularly good serving the fresh fish and seafood caught from the local area.  One must try a seafood paella (paella marisco) with a nice bottle of local wine.  There are lots of shops and shopping centres and numerous bars and restaurants.  The beach is situated next to the marina and is a very nice golden sandy beach.  It is a very nice place to spend a short break or holiday, being only 10 minutes drive from the airport.

The infrastructure of this area is excellent making it easily accessible by road or rail to other parts of Spain.

The opening of the new La Zenia Boulevard open air shopping centre in La Zenia has proved to be a great success with the surrounding areas experiencing a new property boom .  The boulevard has various shops including Primark, H & M, Mango, Zara, Mediamarkt, Decathlon, Le Roy Merlin, numerous shoe shops and many more along with a great variety of restaurants.  It is a great place to take the kids as there are lots of rides, workshops and things to do to keep them amused.  There is also a ten pin bowling alley to please the whole family.

Due to the popularity of the Boulevard there are lots of new properties being built in this area that are very nice and modern with prices to suit every budget.  A lot of these developments are set in beautiful landscaped gardens with communal pools and of course the beach is close by.

There are many lovely beaches along the coastline with places like Torre de la Horadada, Punta Prima and Mil Palmeras becoming very popular now with new beach properties being built at very affordable prices.  The Mediterranean sea is great for all watersports and boat trips.

The area is popular with most Europeans and is becoming more popular now with both Russian and Chinese buyers.

In the area there are also many excellent golf courses to choose from with various types of properties to rent or buy.

The climate on the Costa Blanca is very good averaging 320 days of sunshine per year.  It is a very healthy place to live with a low cost of living.

There is a variety of good local and international schools in the area along with excellent hospitals.
